Soccer Anyone?

I was reading the Mesa Republic today and I found a wonderful article about a man and a team. Scott Taylor is a father who volunteered to coach his son’s soccer team and found a passion. The result of that passion?—FC Arizona. The team debuted on March 4th to a crowd of 2800 in Mesa. The team was victorious scoring 5 goals against Real San Jose who scored 0. I haven’t seen a game yet, but now, learning of its existence, I am looking forward to taking my family. My ten year old son plays soccer on a seasonal team and has passed the love onto my 3 year old. I can’t wait to see their faces when they see are real, live, professional team IN THEIR BACKYARD. My 10 year old enjoys hockey and has lights up when we see the Coyotes play. But they are in Glendale. That’s a 45 minute drive each way for us.

We like Baseball and it’s great to see the Cubs at the new stadium. (BTW: did you know that you can park at Tempe Marketplace and take the shuttle to the stadium. Search: Tempe marketplace shuttle. It can save you on parking AND time.) Spring training is only here for a short time, so be sure to catch a game!!
