Mesa is located in Maricopa County just 15 miles East of Phoenix, Mesa covers 132 square miles and is the 3rd largest city in the state of Arizona.
Mesa provides a wide diversity of recreational, educational and business opportunities. The economy has been driven in part by high-tech companies relocating from California, particularly in semiconductor, software and defense fields, and these companies recently have been doing fairly well. Mesa boasts a large number of parks, bike paths and fishable waters. Mesa is home to the ever popular Chicago Cubs and Oakland A's Spring Training baseball.
Mesa is bordered by Tempe to the west, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community on the north, Chandler and Gilbert on the south, and Apache Junction on the east. Mesa/Phoenix has the highest average July temperature of any U.S. metropolitan area—almost 105 degrees. Many days are over 115, and temperatures exceeding 120 occur occasionally. Even though this is “dry” heat, it is still oppressive.
Mesa is home to more than 450,000 people as of 2016. We are located within an hour of multiple lakes where you can enjoy boating, water skiing and a variety of other outdoor activities. Flagstaff is a mere 2 hours away and Vegas, NV just a quick 5 hour drive.
