The French Quarter in New Orleans is one of the most unique and astonishing neighborhoods in the country, and a destination for travelers world wide. 200 year old creole cottages and three story masonry mansions from the mid nineteenth century knit together in endless rows that come to a stop at bustling Canal Street and sleepy, sultry Esplanade Avenues. The energy of the place hits unexpectedly as you emerge from your transport; a humid, exciting force you have never experienced before. The smell of beignets being fried, the far off sound of the calliope playing on a paddlewheel riverboat, and the clip clop of horse drawn carriages as they slowly pass by. Every angle of every street is teeming with beautiful Spanish architecture, stone arches giving way to silent and lush inner courtyards studded with banana trees and fountains.
If this is your dream of living in or having a weekend getaway pied a terre in the 'Quarter', I can guide you every step of the way. My knowledge and experience with all of the ins and outs of this very foreign city will be a great help to you.
