Kent Island is comprised of two towns, Stevensville and Chester.  Kent Island is one of America's oldest and least recognized English settlements.  It is also the largest island in the Chesapeake Bay.

Chester is a great small town that is an easy commute for those who travel to Baltimore, Washington DC and Philadelphia to work.  Its also a quick drive to the Atlantic Ocean beaches for the vacationers.   The main road which goes through the top part of the island is the U.S. Route 50/301 highway which connects Washington DC to Ocean City. Living in Stevensville & Chester, Maryland your children will have access to several public & private schools. They include Kent Island High School, Bayside Elementary School which is a Blue Ribbon School, Kent Island Elementary School, Stevensville Middle, Matapeake Middle School and Matapeake Elementary Schools.

There are also two private schools located on Kent Island. Lighthouse Christian Academy is grade 1–8 and is located in Stevensville and Kent Island Christian School is PreK — 6th grade located in Chester.
